Winter Weather Advisory issued, up to three inches of snow possible
Another round of snow is on its way to the Peoria area Friday and a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued. Meteorologists are expecting a light, fluffy snow, with two to three inches of accumulation.
WEEK News 25's Chuck Collins says its not the amount, but rather When the snow will fall that could cause issues. He says it will be a nuisance during the afternoon commute home. Collins says wind should not be a factor.
The snowfall is expected to begin late this morning and end tonight. The Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from noon until midnight.
Three to Six inches of accumulation is possible in Northern Illinois.
