A pending agreement has been signed which likely will bring another Illinois hospital into the OSF Healthcare family. OSF officals announced Thursday a definitive agreement has been signed with Ottawa Regional Hospital.
OSF spokesman Jim Farrell says there are still a few steps to complete. One is sealing the deal with the Ottawa Regional Hospital board.Farrell says in the next 10 days OSF will apply for ownership transer with the Illinois Health Facilities And Services Review Board. Farrell hopes to get on it's April 15th agenda.
When a deal is finalized, the facility would be re-named OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center. The Ottawa hospital has 113 beds and employs 750 people.
