An expansion announcement Tuesday by Pekin's Excel Foundry & Machine brought out not only 18th District Congressman Aaron Schock, but Governor Pat Quinn among other state and local elected officials.
Excel CEO Doug Parsons announced plans for company growth and more employees. Parson expects 100 more employees will likely added over the next 2 years along with a $15 million dollar expansion of the plant.
Excel manufactures bronze parts for the mining industry worldwide. Also joining Quinn and Schock for the Excel announcement, were State Senators Dave Koehler and Darin LaHood along with State Represenative Mike Unes.
