Bradley men's basketball coach Geno Ford hears from one special fan during his live radio show with 1470 WMBD's Greg and Dan. Senior Sgt. Dan Symbersky spoke with the coach from Afghanistan.
"We really appreciate the Bradley Braves because it's a great escape for us," says Symbersky. "Especially in an environment that can be kind of stressful at times. We listen every week, like clockwork, we enjoy it a whole lot."
Ford is grateful to get the call. "Thanks so much, Dan," says Ford. "What you guys are doing is a lot more important than what we're doing, believe me."
"A lot of times coaches (during news conferences) will say 'It's a battle and it's a war,'" Ford says. "No, it's not. It's a game we're trying to win and we're competing. But, what those guys are doing are at a whole other level."
