I-74 bridge scene of another multi-vehicle accident
(From WEEK News 25) - One person is injured, and others shaken tonight, after the second three-car accident on the Murray Baker Bridge in two days. Friday morning police responded to a three car wreck pile-up that left one man injured. East Peoria police say shortly after 3 Saturday afternoon, a motorist was stranded on the bridge. Other cars were trying to maneuver around that vehicle. When one of them failed to slow down in time, rear-ending the car in front of them. A pick-up truck then rear-ended the first vehicle. Police say one of the drivers was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the first car was cited with 'failure to reduce speed to avoid speed to avoid accident.
