A Peoria man is sentenced to life in prison. Edjuan Payne was convicted of killing Orvette Davis in May of 2010. Payne beat, strangled, cut and stabbed Davis in her house...then dragged to an alley with her infant son next to her. The baby suffered skill fractures, but survived. The life sentence was handed Payne because this was his second murder conviction.
