It's Girl Scout Cookie Time. Your neighborhood Girl Scouts will be going door-to-door selling the popular treats from now through February 5th. You'll probably even see the familiar sign up cards at work. Erica Douglas with the Girl Scouts says there are eight varieties this year.
The include Thin Mints, Caramel DeLites, Shortbreads, Lemonades, Peanut Butter Patties, Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Shout Outs and Thanks-A-Lots. Douglas says Thin Mints are the most popular.
The cookies are $4 a box. 75 percent the sale of each box stays in the area to benefit local Girl Scouts.
