A motorist involved in a single vehicle crash early Friday morning has died.  51 year old Steven Putman of Morton was pronounced dead this(Monday)morning at 445am at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.  Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll says Putman suffered multiple injuries including to the head and spine from the accident. 

The Coroner says Putman was driving his SUV on I-74 near the University exit, when after passing two cars veered off to the right and crashed into a cement wall.  The victim was not wearing a safety belt, and was ejected from the vehicle when it overturned and ended up on it's side.  An autopsy will be performed Tuesday.
