No injuries in Peoria house fire

An overloaded extension cord is to blame for a Peoria house fire. Firefighters arrived at 1618 North Peoria around 4:30 Sunday afternoon to find smoke coming from one side of the house. They found the fire had started in the basement and made its way to the first floor kitchen through the inside of the wall. The fire was quickly put out without injuries. The Red Cross helped in finding shelter for three adults and three children.
