There's yet another resignation by a village trustee in Sparland as the village board starts to reassemble itself. The Journal Star reports Trustee Mike Durham resigned Thursday. That makes now four village trustees, the former mayor, plus the village clerk and treasurer who have resigned the past couple of weeks. Meanwhile, trustee Charlie Kear is now interim mayor. Bob Lockhart and Charlie Hagan are appointed to fill two of the board vacanies. Margaret Murry is also appointed as village clerk. Two more village board members and a new village treasurer have yet to be appointed.
