There will be no fireworks display in Peoria New Year's Eve. Event organizer Pat Sullivan tells the Journal Star it's because of a lack of sponsorships. He had been able to organize the fireworks display at 9:00 New Year's Eve the past two years. Sullivan says he came up $2,000 short of the $6,000 needed to put on the show. Sullivan's hoping the New Year's Eve fireworks can happen again next year.
