A bank in Pekin was apparently robbed early Wednesday afternoon just after 100pm.  Reports indicate the financial institution was the Herget National Bank at Broadway near Parkway on the city's eastside.  

One young male subject possibly in his 20's with facial hair and wearing a hoodie went into the bank and handed the teller a note and implied a weapon.  The subject then left and got into a car in an adjoining lot.  Reports say a female passenger also in her 20's accompanied the suspect in the vehicle. 

It's not known if, or how much money was taken.  Officers from several departments were searching for the suspect and passenger reportedly riding in a blue vehicle.
