Annual 10th Circuit Judge Shuffling Brings Lyons Back To Peoria County

It's a typical move this time of year around the 10th Judicial Circuit.  A judicial "musical chairs" of sorts is put in place in the new year to give attorneys and the judges they deal with a change of pace.

One notable change is former Peoria County States Attorney Kevin Lyons will be moving back to the Peoria County bench from his first assignment in Tazewell County.  Lyons will handle cases in Civil Court after the first of the year.  Lyons will replace Judge Scott Shore, who will move to Tazewell County to preside over felony court.

10th Circuit Chief Judge Michael Brandt will remain in the Peoria County Courthouse. Judge Steve Kouri and Timothy Lucas will remain as Peoria County felony judges.  Judge David Brown will handle misdemeanors.  Judge Katherine Gorman will preside over traffic court.  And Judge Kim Kelley will handle DUI's in Peoria County Court.
