FOLEPI Will Stay Lit One More Night Through January 1st
If you want something to do with the family on New Years' night after watching the traditional parades and the bowl games, you have the chance to visit East Peoria's Festival of Lights an extra night. The city had decided keep the event open January 1st since New Years Day falls on Sunday, and Monday still condsidered a working holiday.
City spokeswoman Jill Peterson says the hours on January 1st will be the normal 5-9pm. The charge to drive through the 2 mile route is $10 per carload. Originally, the event was supposed to wrap-up New Years Eve.
