An autopsy has not conclusively determined the death of a Chillicothe man. The body of 29-year old Patrick Nelson was found Friday afternoon on a beach near the Illinois River. The beach was along an empty lot in the 17300 block of North Second Street near Chillicothe. Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll says while the autopsy did not reveal a cause of death, there was no evidence of trauma. Her office is now awaiting the results of toxicology tests. The Peoria County Sheriff's Department Friday had said while Nelson's death was suspicious in nature it was not being investigated as a homicide.
