Autopsy Should Tell More About Chillicothe Man's Suspicious Death
An autopsy will be performed today on a Chillicothe man, found dead on a vacant lot near the Illinois River in that city Friday. Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll identifies the victim as 29 year old Patrick Nelson. His body was discovered about 250pm Friday afternoon in a rocky brush covered beach area near to the river at 17328 North 2nd. There were houses located nearby on each side of the vacant lot. Nelson had reportedly been seen at a couple of bars in town that evening. He was last seen about 1100pm Thursday night. His death is listed as suspicious, but at this time is not considered a homicide. Preliminary autopsy results might be available Saturday.
