Peoria fire fighters put out a blaze at a one story house at 2223 West Butler just after 4:00 Friday morning. Heavy smoke and flames were seen coming from the rear of the house. Seven people were sleeping at the time. Peoria fire officials say one of the occupants woke up the others after hearing noises and everyone escaped without injury. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
