The 64th annual Journal Star Christmas Sing takes place tonight. The song leader will again be former Peoria Mayor Jim Maloof. The sing begins at 7:00 in Peoria Civic Center Great Hall.
"If you've never been there, don't miss it, it's going to be great," Maloof tells WMBD's Greg and Dan. "It's inside at the Civic Center with no weather problems."
As always, a large screen will be set up displaying the words to all the songs so everyone can join in. And, Maloof says, there's more.
"Free hot chocolate and cookies thanks to our friends at the Civic Center. This will be one of the greatest sings we've ever had."
There will be a silent auction and competition for the favorite gingerbread house. The money collected will be donated to the Journal Star Christmas Fund.
Admission and parking are free.
