Two people have been arrested in connection to the death of a Peoria man found in deceased in a downtown apartment building Saturday morning.
Peoria Police were called about 6:15am to the third floor of 105 Southwest Perry to a report of a man lying in the floor not breathing. The man, identified as 28 year old Jacob Gann, was pronounced dead about an hour later. Authorities say he had sustained head trauma and the death was investigated as a homicide.
Peoria Police say 34 year old Ahmad Rashad Macklin of Marion has been arrested for first degree murder and 46 year old Johnny Thomas of Peoria was taken into custody for concealment of a homicide death. Both men are being held at the Peoria County Jail while they await formal charges from the Peoria County State’s Attorney.
