The busiest day for processing holiday postal packages was Monday. But, a local postal official says, not to worry, there is still a small window of time to get packages and letter postmarked for on time delivery.
Michael Clark says you need to remember, Christmas is less than two weeks out. Clark says if you get your packages to the post office by Tuesday or Wednesday, you should be OK. Clarks says USPS is making every effort to deliver it's services satisfactorily, despite all the down sizing rumors stories.
Clark says within a couple days, you might want to consdider express mail to get your packages to your loved ones in time. He says cards will need to be postmarked by early next week to assure timely delivery by the 24th. Clark also advises if you want to avoid long lines at post office walk-up windows, there are other options available by going to USPS-DOT-COM.
