Northern Tazewell firefighters are called to the 1900 block of West Cruger Road near Washington on a report of a fire in an attached garage which spread to the house. The fire was reported just after 7:10 Saturday morning. Germantown Hills and Eureka fire departments were been dispatched to the scene to help put out the fire. There were reports of gas grill propane tanks exploding. The residents of the house have escaped without injury. However, the owner occupants of the house reported their Rotweiller dog, which also escaped safely, ran off from the scene. Washington and Eureka fire departments reported back to the scene about 330 Saturday afternoon after the fire rekindled. The dog was then located by fire crews re-visiting the fire scene. The canine appeared general OK, but was taken into Peoria to a emergency vet to be checked out while it's owners were contacted. The home is considered at total loss.
