(From Peoria Rivermen) - The Peoria Rivermen took a 1-0 lead into the third period only to see the Oklahoma City Barons score two goals in 63 seconds on their way to a 3-1 win at the Cox Convention Center on Friday night. The Barons won their league-best 18th game of the season as Peoria failed to close out a third period lead for the first time this season (1-8-0-0).
Ben Bishop stopped the first 29 shots of the game and finished with 32 saves in the losing effort. The Rivermen (11-13-1-1) will travel to San Antonio for a game with the Rampage on Saturday night.
The Rivermen hit the ice on Saturday in San Antonio at 7 p.m to face
the Rampage.
