Peoria Airport Director Gene Olson wants to make you aware of some traffic pattern changes at the flight facility. With the new terminal up and running, it's now time for the old building to come down. Olson says the changes are due to trucks needing a path to haul away the rubble of the previous structure.
The Director says traffic into the airport will be unaffected. But, to exit, the road will temporarily become a two way thoroughfare near Byerly Aviation. Olson says anyone parking near Byerly and wanting to walk to the new terminal will see different pedestrian access. Olson says auto rental customers should now just come directly into the new terminal.
Olson says it will take until mid or late May for the old terminal to be completely demolished.
