Gun found in Limestone H.S. leads to guilty plea in juvenile court
A 15-year old boy pleads guilty in Peoria County juvenile court to charges related to a gun found at Limestone High School. The .22 caliber semiautomatic weapon was found in a restroom at the school last Tuesday. The Journal Star reports the boy pleaded guilty to a count of unlawful use of a weapon in return for other gun-related charges being dropped. The judge ordered the boy to be held in custody until his January 10th sentencing. Another boy, also 15 years old, will be in juvenile court Thursday on one count of unlawful possession of a firearm. The boys had reportedly told police they took the gun to school for what they called - "protection."
