Peoria Police are investigating a homicide which occurred late Wednesday night, in the Goose Lake area of the city's southside.  Officers were called to the 1400 block of Martin about 1100pm to a report of shots fired. 

Responders found a black male lying in a vacant lot next to 1406 Martin, the victim of multiple gunshot wounds.  Officer say he was unresponsive.  Medical personnel attempted to revive the victim, but he died from his wounds a short time later. 

There are no suspects at this time.  Anyone with information should call Peoria Police or Crime Stoppers.
