A 16-year old Peoria boy is on life support a week after being beaten in a vacant house. The Journal Star reports Jacquille Tidwell Johns will be an organ donor. Johns and another boy were inside the vacant house on West Kettelle Street last Friday night when the owner of the house who lives across the street noticed movement. There are differing stories on what happened next from the boy who was with Johns and the homeowner, 61-year old Willie Mason. Mason was arrested Wednesday on a charge of obstructing justice. A charge of aggravated battery with great bodily harm was added Thursday. Mason will appear in bonding court today. No formal charges have been filed yet, though, by the Peoria County State's Attorney's office.
