State Treasurer Dan Rutherford is searching for 72 people who are the rightful owners of almost 200 war medals, awards, ribbons and various military artifacts currently being held in the vault under the State Capitol as unclaimed property.
The items date back to the Spanish-American War as well as from World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
The list of names include Linda K. Moore of Peoria and Constance J. Cooper of Farmington.
