Bradley men prepare for Wooster

Bradley and the College of Wooster will meet for the first time ever Tuesday night at Carver Arena in the final exhibition game for the Bradley men's basketball team.

Wooster is the NCAA Division Three national runner-up and sports a 312-59 record since the start of the 2000-2001 season. Wooster has won at least 25 games nine out of the last 13 seasons.

Bradley coach Geno Ford tells WMBD's Greg and Dan Wooster will be a good test for his Braves.

"(Wooster) plays a Division One team every year so this won't be anything new for them," says Ford. "We played them when we were at Kent (State) and I've been friends with these guys for a long time."

"I think we'll get a lot out of it which in exhibition games that's what you want. You want to win but you also need to see things and be challenged. It doesn't do you any good to play one of those teams you beat 99-40. What do you learn from that?"

State Bank of Speer Braves Plus begins Tuesday night at 6 on 1470 WMBD. Bradley officially opens its season Sunday afternoon at 4:00 hosting Missouri-Kansas City in the first round of the Chicago Invitational Challenge Tournament.
