J.K. Williams Distilling has announced that the East Peoria small-batch whiskey distillery will close in the coming weeks.

The distillery, owned and operated by the Williams family, opened in 2013, and has produced several award winning whiskeys and bourbons over the past four years.

The owners says they are closing so that they can focus more time and energy on their growing families.

Jesse Williams,Head Distiller of J.K. Williams, says, We have poured our passion into our handcrafted whiskey for the past 4 years, and we are proud of our family’s accomplishments. We especially appreciate all of the support and encouragement we have received from the local community and our fellow whiskey lovers.”

J.K. Williams Distilling plans to stay open through February while they work through steps to close the business.

J.K’s tasting room and retail store will remain open Fridays and Saturdays noon-5:00 p.m. and Sundays noon-4:00 p.m. while supplies last.
