High School Equivalency Test To Be Offered

The Peoria County Regional Office of Education will offer a high school equivalency test for adults.

The HiSET exam is for adults in Peoria County interested in an alternative to a high school diploma.

The HiSET is a paper and pencil test that meets the requirements for a GED.

“I really feel that is springboard for (adults) to go into the next thing in their life,” Assistant Regional Superintendent George McKenna told news partner 25 News, “and that is important to have that success and know that they can and will be successful in the communities and hopefully will amount to a new job for them as they move on.”

The HiSET test is being offered Aug. 12 at the Knoxville Center for Success, 2628 N. Knoxville Ave. in Peoria.

Anyone interest in taking the HiSET can register online HERE, or call the Regional Office of Education at 309-672-6906 for more information.
