Bartonville Police Dept.

Bartonville Chief of Police Brian Fengel has announced his intention to run for Peoria County Sheriff.

Fengel’s decision follows the recent announcement that Peoria County Sheriff Mike McCoy was retiring in order to become Chief of Police in Washington.

Fengel has been with the Bartonville Police Department for nearly 30 years, serving 20 years as Chief of Police.

He is expected to make a formal announcement of his candidacy for sheriff Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Bartonville Village Hall.
