The Dunlap School Board will meet on Saturday to go over the process of finding a new superintendent.
The board will meet at 10 a.m. at Ridgeview Elementary School.
This follows a 4-3 vote Nov. 21 to approve a mutual separation agreement between Superintendent Lisa Parker and the district. Neither Parker, nor the board, confirmed why the two sides are parting ways.
Parker’s contract will be terminated at the end of the year.
Consultant for the Illinois Association of School Boards, Tom Leahy, will conduct a presentation on an interim superintendent search and permanent superintendent search on Saturday.
Parker’s dismissal brought outcry from the community.
During a special board meeting Tuesday, members of the public said they were kept in the dark about how the board would go about finding a replacement for Parker.
