Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested


kim parkerPeoria Police have arrested a second suspect in connection with a January armed robbery.

A United States Postal Carrier was robbed of his wallet and cell phone January 29 in the 400 block East McClure. The victim was not injured.

Officers responded to a home in the 1700 block of West Fredonia at about 2:00 a.m. Tuesday after getting a call that suspect Kim Parker, 23, was inside the residence.

Officers surrounded the home and attempted to make contact with occupants. Parker exited the residence at about 5:00 a.m. and was taken into custody. Parker was arrested for armed robbery and a parole hold and taken to the Peoria County Jail.

A second suspect, Brian Thomas Jr., 20, was arrested May 6 on two counts of unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a firearm without and ID card, armed robbery and aggravated battery.
