A victory celebration for the Salvation Army Tree of Lights campaign is truly that. The Army raised just shy of $1,522,000 during the 2011 campaign. That's a record and an 8-percent jump over the year before. Jim Moore says he and his wife Paula, who co-chaired the campaign, are overwhelmed by the community's support. The money raised through the Tree of Lights campaign represents more than one third of the overall annual budget of the Salvation Army in the Peoria area.
