A Peoria fire truck full of Richwoods boys basketball players are cheerleaders arrive at the school to celebrate the team\'s 2nd place finish in the IHSA Class 3A state finals. The team lost 58-55 in Saturday\'s championship game at Carver Arena. Head Coach Mike Ellis tells 1470 WMBD, "That\'s a ride they\'ll remember the rest of their lives. They\'ll remember how cold they were, but they\'ll remember for the rest of their lives." Ellis says he\'ll remember this team as one that wanted to compete and get better each day. "It seems every individual player had a situation he had to overcome," Ellis said. "Each time we overcame those obstacles it just made us stronger and bonded better as a team. Fromer Richwoods head coaches Wayne Hammerton and Bob Darling were among the crowd in attendance during the welcome home ceremony in the Richwoods auditorium. The ceremony was the first party to be attended by coach Ellis. Sunday was also his daughter, Bailey\'s, 14th birthday.
