Peoria police have arrested Nathan Leuthold in connection with the Valentine's Day murder of his wife. Peoria police say Leuthold was arrested at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday by detective from the Peoria Police Department.
Denise Leuthold, 39, was found dead inside a house at 700 East Mossville Road. She had died from a gunshot wound to the head. The morning after the shooting, Peoria Police Chief Steve Settingsgaard told 1470 WMBD Nathan Leuthold called 9-1-1 to say it appeared his house had been broken into. But the husband did not discover his wife's body.
Settingsgaard says Nathan Leuthold was across the street from the house waiting for police to arrive. Settingsgaard may release more information during a news conference scheduled for 11:00 Wednesday morning.
