A Pekin man was arrested Thursday after rolling his vehicle at Route 24 and Route 9, which closed down the roads for several hours. Codi Roberts, 21, allegedly lost control of his vehicle about 3:50a.m. Thursday while turning onto Route 9 from Route 24. The vehicle rolled several times. Roberts and his passenger, Rebba Harms, 19, also of Pekin, were both transported to OSF St. Francis Medical Center, and were treated and released.
The Peoria County Sheriff's Department reported a traffic signal and railroad barricade were damaged. The Journal Star reports Roberts was cited for drunken driving, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving without a license. Harms was cited for possessing less than 2.5 grams of marijuana.
