A Peoria man is accused of starting a fire in the apartment building where he lives. 30-year old Eric Johnson is booked in the Peoria County Jail on a charge of aggravated arson. A sprinkler had put out the fire in a fifth floor apartment at 301 NE Jefferson by the time fire fighters got there around 9:00 Monday night. Crews used shopvacs and squeegies to mop up the water damage. There were no injuries. Johnson is due in court Wednesday.
