It's In The Jury's Hands Now

The jury in the Nathan Leuthold murder trial began its deliberations around 4:15 Monday afternoon after a long afternoon of closing remarks from prosecutors and the defense.

In closing arguments Monday afternoon Peoria County State's Attorney Jerry Brady says Leuthold waited for the perfect time, then executed his wife.

Denise Leuthold was found shot to death on February 14th, 2013 inside their home at 700 West Mossville Road.

Nathan Leuthold says he came home to find the home ransacked.

The prosecution says Leuthold killed his wife so he could be with his Lithuanian girlfriend.

The defense says the two were just friends, and an intruder killed Denise Leuthold.

"That's all ya got," asked defense attorney Hugh Toner during his closing statement, saying The State's case is entirely circumstantial.
