IMEA Conference Draws Thousands To Downtown Through Saturday Afternoon



The annual Illinois Music Educators Association Conference continues in Peoria through Saturday afternoon.  More than 10,000 people are attending the event this weekend.  The public can attend the musical performance events. 

Friday is the All-State Jazz Concert in the Peoria Civic Center Theatre at 800pm with admission at $5 dollar per person.  Numerous public events also go on Saturday and Saturday night. 

There is an All-Conference Drum Circle in the Triangle Lobby of the Civic Center at 1100am Saturday, which is free.  The All-State Concert will be held in the Civic Center Arena at 100pm Saturday. Then,  the Honors concert will be held in the arena at 300pm.  Both of those are a $5 dollar charge per person. 

There are also exhibits in the Civic Center, free of charge. The I-M-E-A conference wraps up late Saturday afternoon.
