Health Reform Rally In Front Of Shock's Downtown Office
Several groups urging the passage of the pending healthcare bill stage a rally in front of Congressman Aaron Shock's Federal Courthouse office Friday evening. About 40 people, most from Illinois Healthcare Justice Campaign held signs and chanted "Healthcare For All" at pedestrians and motorists passed by. Representatives from Mental Health Association of Illinois Valley and League of Women Voters also joined the rally. Officials from the group urged Congressman Shock to support small businesses and families and NOT the big profits of insurance companies. Schock is in Washington awaiting the possible Sunday vote on the healthcare bill.
