The Illinois State Fire Marshal's Office has a new employee: a 16-month-old black labrador named Gemma.
The Fire Marshal's Office introduced Gemma in front of a burned home in Marion in southern Illinois.
She recently graduated from Canine-Accelerant Detection School and is already helping the office sniff out crime.
The office expects Gemma will help investigate 50 fires a year.
She even wears a badge.
