A driver of a pickup truck who died in a fiery crash is identified.  Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll says the victim is 75 year old James Smith of Princeville. The accident was reported by a passerby around 2:10am Thursday morning near Princeville-Jubilee Road and Laura Road near Princeville.

Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll says the full-size pickup headed north on Princeville-Jubilee Road apparently crossed the southbound lanes and entered a ditch. The truck then hit a tree and burst into flames. Ingersoll says Smith's body was badly burned. 

The Coroner says preliminary autopsy results reveal Smith died from multiple injuries sustained from the crash.  Ingersoll says Smith was already deceased when the vehicle burst into flames.
