Businesses Busted Selling Booze To Minors

It doesn't pay to sell alcohol to minors, just ask three Peoria businesses.

The businesses have been cited in an undercover compliance check from the Illinois Liquor Control Commission and local law enforcement.

Two bars, Basketcase at 610 W. Main Street and Johnny Vigs at 4700 N. University, as well as the In N Out Grocery and Liquor store at 305 Wayne Street are accused of selling to undercover minors working with the ILCC. 30 Peoria County businesses were randomly checked on July 21st.

Statewide, over 342 businesses licensed to sell liquor were checked. 86-percent of them refused to sell alcohol to underage customers.
