After a ribbon-cutting Saturday morning 4 of the 5 Peoria Public Library branches will be re-opened. The McClure Branch will be hold the event at 1000am following a lengthy closure for re-modeling. Library spokeswoman Trisha Noack says extensive work and upgrading has been completed inside.
She says there's now just one facility left to complete. She says the Lakeview Branch should be open again by April.
Noack says McClure is the smallest of the libraries. She explains the building could not physically be made larger because the 75 year old structure sits on a 100 year flood plain.
