Peoria City Code Enforcement workers want Mayor Ardis to keep his promise of a transparent process while the city looks into possible outsourcing. AFSCME officials asked the Mayor Monday night to follow through with public discussions before council votes on the issue. Mayor Ardis said nothing has been decided, and the process is just beginning.
News Partner News 25 reports there is no word on when those discussions will take place. Monday night, Council also approved Crittenton Centers to receive more than $285,000 in Southtown TIF money for renovation projects. The Council also voted to move their April 9th meeting to Monday April 8th due to the upcoming election.
