A Peoria house fire results in 2 residents treated for minor injuries and damage to neighboring homes.
Peoria Fire crews arrived 930 Monday morning to a house fire at 717 W. Thrush. When crews arrived, heavy smoke and fire was venting from the home. Firefighters made an aggressive inside attack, and was knocked down the fire in 20 minutes.
Due to the proximity of neighboring homes and light winds, fire did spread to the attic of 719 W. Thrush, and a report of shingles on the roof of 715 W. Thrush were scorched from the radiant heat.
One resident was first un accounted when firefighters arrived, but was located in the backyard.
Peoria Fire Reports indicate two residents were taken to OSF by ambulance with non life threatening injuries.
Investigator and crews remained on scene searching for hot-spots. The cause of the fire is undetermined and under investigation.
